I love Fall! I always have. I love that the leaves change colors. And I love the crunch of those leaves underfoot when they fall off the trees. I love the crisp smell of the air and the return of all those beloved sweaters from storage. And whats not to love about the return of cool weather food like stews and soups.

Now everyone agrees that Fall includes September and October but how about November or even December? Well, technically the first day of Fall is September 23rd and the first day of Winter is December 21st so I guess Fall is that time in between!
Given that bit of information, I am pleased to announce my Fall Exhibition Calendar for 2014.
"So Much More"
"The Power of Place" is one of only two sculptures chosen for the exhibit "So Much More". This art exhibition is sponsored by The Artist-in-Residence Program at Swedish Covenant Hospital
(5145 N California Ave) in Chicago.
The exhibition dates are November 15 - December 13, 2014.
The opening reception is November 15, 5-8 pm.
The Power of Place |
I was initially drawn to submit to this show when I saw that artist Nnenna Okore was the juror. I have been of fan of
her sculptures for some time now and my sculpture "Place" was
inspired by her work. Ironically, she did not choose this piece for
inclusion in the show!

"Oil and Water"
"Fluidity" was accepted for the "Oil and Water" group exhibition at Woman Made Gallery (685 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago). This is the second time I will have shown at this gallery. The show runs from November 14 - December 21, 2014. The opening reception is Friday November 14, 6-9 pm. The gallery has posted images of the work that is included in this exhibition.

"Transformed Spaces"
My final show of the year is perhaps my most exciting. I will be having my first solo exhibition of work at Art on Armitage. This window gallery, located at 4125 W. Armitage in Chicago, is designed to bring art out of the confines of the traditional art gallery and into the realm of the public. "Transformed Spaces" will run throughout the month of December, 2014.
